M-ust E-nd T-he S-eason

I was just looking at the NY Mets 40-man roster and I notice that 25% of the team is currently disabled. That doesn’t even take into account that Luis Castillo (although technically not disabled) can’t play because he fell down the dugout steps and hurt his ankle or Oliver Perez who is mentally disabled.

I’ve heard people attempt to pin the blame on Omar Minaya saying something to the effect that under his watch somehow they have not been doing something right with the players causing these injuries. I can’t really accept that theory because last year Beltran, Delgado and Reyes only missed 3 games combined.

All I know is that this year has been and will be a total waste. What a shame for the Buffalo, I mean, NY Mets and their new Dodger Stadium, I mean Citi Field. Forget about loosing stars, you just can't compete on an every day basis in MLB without 25% of your team.
