Another No Decision For Greinke

Last Sunday Mike Cardano posted Zack Greinke wins the 2009 AL Cy Young Award. The main point of the post was that Greinke is putting up one of the best years in baseball history but won’t get anywhere near 20 wins (but his team’s offensive ineptness shouldn’t keep him from winning the Cy Young.)

Last night Greinke threw another gem. 7 Innings - 1 Run – 0 Walks – 4 Hits – 6 K’s and was hung with another no decision. That’s the 8th time this year that this has happened! (I guess he should be thankful that the one run he let up didn’t result in a loss.)

Greinke now sports a 2.19 ERA in the American League which is Pedro Martinez, 1999-2000-like. Unfortunately he is the ace of my rotisserie staff and with my team leader only having 13 wins I once again find myself in the basement of the win category. But what else is new. - Peter Costa
