Hanson - Way too much...

Well, it wasn’t pretty. I heard there were guys paying as much as 45% of their total FAAB budget on him! I’m sure he’ll pitch better than this but………………….

1) Hope you were in a weekly league in which you didn’t actually get him until today (those stats don’t count.)

2) I really don’t understand why people bid so much on these rookie starting pitchers to rent them for half a season? We’ve gone over this before on the site.

- They are on strict pitch counts and routinely get pulled early from games. This prevents them from getting wins and lessens the positive effect they can have on your staff because of the reduced innings.

- They are often intermittently wild, negatively effecting the WHIP category (even if they aren’t giving up runs)

- They just don't participate enough (every 5 days) do be worth that type of expenditure. – Gregory Shapiro
