Wow, Justin Verlander

Wow, Justin Verlander really has it going on. He’s on pace for 300 strikeouts! That’s Randy-Johnson-in- his-prime like. So much talk about Grienke and Halladay this year and deservedly so, I think Verlander has now represented himself as one of the AL big 3.

This year’s AL CY Young Award is shaping up to be one of the most highly contested that I can remember. Each one of these guys would be clear front runners in most years.

I hope you’ve got one of them on your team. I’m one of those fellows that only take NL pitchers because they have it easier and I think it reflects in their stats. I guess I have to start rethinking my position as I watch guys with one of these three run away from me in the standings.

But if it weren't that it would be something else. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH! - Peter Costa

Pete is a serious Rotisserie participant playing the same league with the same guys for 17 years. Not only has Peter never finished in the money; he’s finished last 13 times and no higher than 10th (in a league with 14 guys). Join us in following Peter’s trials, tribulations and frustrations, as he attempts to navigate his way out of the basement in 2009.
